Mouse moving with out me moving it.

In Illustrator 21.1 when I click on art or anything, my mouse wonders off for a second without me touching it? This happens every time I click on anything, so you can image the time it take to finish something. I’ve looked up solutions on google via preferences, and windows 11 with no success. Please help!

the mouse works fine in all other Adobe products, and on the web. I even changed the batteries as a precaution.

Is it a corded mouse or wireless? In either case, have you tried unplugging the mouse's cable or wireless transmitter from its USB port and then plugging it back into the port? If that doesn't solve the problem try using a different USB port if one is available.

Also, are you really using version 21.1 of Illustrator? That is an April 2017 release. I wouldn't be surprised if a release that old had compatibility issues with Windows 11.
