Move tool only copies in one direction on Vertical axis

I am a seasoned user of  Illustrator and have used the Move tool for years to copy objects accross the artboard. Currently the move tool is only copying an object in one direction (north) on the vertical axis no matter whether I use the negative sign or not at the front of the vertical coordinate. I have tried multiple times (like 50) using both the negative sign and nothing in front of the coordinate and it just copies one direction. I have the current version of CC and like I said, I have never had an issue until recently.  Any help is appreciated! Oh, and the horizontal copying of objects is unaffected.
