multi-color streak pattern blend

Hi everyone,

Im looking to duplicating the color streak pattern in the pic, any ideas on how to best achieve this effect. Vector would be ideal but if I must photoshop raster effect would work too. Any input or tips are most welcome.

I would suggest Photoshop with a multicolored gradient and smudge tool or liquify.

Tnx 4 the tip but smudge isn't up to making the exact shape streak and liquify also distorts shapes in more direction than purely horizontal.
