Multiple artboards show same content

Hi, I am working on an artboard and writing some text. Suddenly I see that the text that I write is visible on all my artboards. What have I done wrong? I have not been able to find any help on this.

oh that's a tough one 🙂
First thing that comes to mind (but it's unlikely) is that your text is set as a symbol, and you are copying that symbol within the artboard whenever you are duplicating your artboard with the duplicate artboard and contents icon on

That would be very far-fetched to be honest!

It could be simply a bug, but I never encountered that one. Now, something will pop in my head when I least expect it, so I'll post here if it occurs.
I'm sure others will come with more ideas.

Can you show a screenshot with the text object selected and the Layers palette and Appearance palette fully expanded?
