Question

My artboard suddenly jumps/moves.

This happens in every Adobe product I use (Photoshop, inDesign, Illustrator) —

I'll be working, and then suddenly all I see is the grey beside the artboard. I need to scroll/zoom out to get back to my artboard. Or I'll be working, and then when I go to select something and I'll have selected something else that's two inches off, because the whole artboard has suddenly jumped.

Impossible to predict when it will happen, what causes it, or how severe the jump will be.

It happens regardless of the hardware or display I'm using.

Because it's so sporadic and random, I've kinda gotten used to it. It happens maybe once every 10-15 minutes. Very annoying now.

Doesn't seem like anyone else is encountering this issue...

Any help appreciated.

You should see a dialog box asking if you want to delete the settings file. Click "Yes" to confirm and then

no, you don't.

And also: how could resetting the preferences help with Apple's hardware?

What is your system? If you're Mac, what are you using for a pointing device: a magic mouse or trackpad?

Can you first unplug that tablet - is it still happening?
