my document suddenly went into RGB/Outline mode. How do I get my colors back?

I was working on a graphic that had solid colors and no outlines. Now I have all outlines and no fill colors. Did I accidentally hit a key that did that? How do I get back to my intended graphic?

Hi @ericg2387310,

It sounds like your document might have switched to Outline mode accidentally. Try pressing Ctrl + Y (Windows) or Cmd + Y (Mac) to toggle back to Preview mode and see if your colors return. If that doesn't help, please share screenshots for better understanding on what you see.

You could have wanted to Group something with Ctrl/Cmd+G and pressed Y instead, or using Y for Magic Wand while holding Ctrl/Cmd, or made another similar mishit.

The effect is immediate so it ought to be the last thing you did that failed, but it may have been forgotten with the complete change of everything.

For my small part you are welcome, Eric.

There are keyboard mishits that are much sneakier and frequent, especially Ctrl/Cmd+H (Hide Edges) and ShiftCtrl/Cmd+B (Hide Bounding Box) literally surrounded by other keys which just seem to fail so they are repeated correctly and long forgotten about when later realizing that something is wrong.

So it is good to be aware of the mishit misery, and you had good reason to ask.

Hi @ericg2387310, it sounds like you're in Outline mode. Try View > Preview to switch back to Preview mode.
