My files are showing as pdf when saved

I'm using adobe illustrator on my iPad for a school assignment and when I tried to save it and upload it to a google drive, it shows as a pdf. Is there any way to fix it?

Which device are you using to look at that Google drive?

Is Illustrator installed on it?

I was using my iPad and yes it's the same ipad that has Illustrator installed on it
