Hello @Daniel Cash,

I'm sorry to hear you're having similar trouble with Illustrator. Could you try the suggestions Abhishek shared earlier (https://adobe.ly/49F2axO) and let us know how it goes? If the problem persists, kindly confirm the version of Illustrator installed, screenshots of the error message (if any) and submit the crash report, so we can investigate this further.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

None of that helped, but I was helped by an Adobe person on Threads. I had to sign out of Creative Cloud and restart. That did the trick.

I'm wondering if my issues are the same as this. Ever since they upgraded my laptop at work to the Dell Premium 16 (Windows 11 Enterprise 24H2), I've been getting a lot of crashes. If I leave Illustrator minimized for too long, it will crash upon trying to resume. This happens daily. Today, I wasn't evne doing particularly intensive work and it locked up partway through my work. I lost all the work. I don't know why auto-backup wasn't saving anything for the last 30 minutes or so. I just started up again to redo my work and it crashed during a save. So I probably just lost all my work again. What is going on here?

I can't even get it to open this morning. It becomes unresponsive. I just updated to MacOS Tahoe though.

A follow up: a reset of preferences did not fix the issue.

Hi @ananda_2206,

I hope the suggestion shared by the expert helped and things are running smoothly now. Please try that first and let us know if it makes a difference. If the issue still persists, could you please confirm the exact version of Illustrator you are using along with your OS details, so we can look into this more closely.

Also, when Illustrator crashes, do you see the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog? If yes, please make sure to submit the crash report and then share the email address you used for submission with us via DM, so we can have the logs checked. Ref: https://adobe.ly/4qMAsWM

Additionally, please try the troubleshooting steps mentioned in this article and update us on the results: https://adobe.ly/3YII3db

Looking forward to your update.

Abhishek

If you cannot find a possible reason, like recent system or app updates, utilities installed, then I would try a reset of preferences.
