Question

My libraries aren't showing ANYTHING at all in Adobe Illustrator

So in all other apps my Libraries show, but specifically in Adobe Illustrator, after updating, closing out, deleting, re-installing, re-starting, clearing cache, and MORE, it's still not showing. It shows a very breif black screen as though it's about to load and then just cuts to gray, unclickable, nothing to be done, not even an error message. Even to the point where when I click a vector in photoshop's library to pull up the file to edit or alter, it doesn't even pull up in illustrator.

I have done everything I've seen on other multiple forums and spent 3 hours on the phone with adobe and nobody seems to have an answer as to why this is happening. I'm hoping by posting about it here I can finally find an answer and help resolve my issue so I can finally use libraires again for my full time job.

Having to work around and save out logos to seperate files is exhausting in my line of work, I need access to my database.

As mentioned I can use all parts of libraires as smart objects in other programs but when I try to open them in illustrator in any capacity it opens the window of the program and does absolutely nothing.

Hope someone can help!

Hello @davisuko,

Sorry to hear about this experience. I am assuming you are having trouble accessing Creative Cloud Libraries in Illustrator. If so, kindly try the following steps and share your observations.

If the issue persists, try using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html) to remove the Creative Cloud desktop application, CCLibrary, and CCX Process and reinstall Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html) to check if it helps.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Anubhav

I appreciate all the input so far, and I will attempt these suggestions when I'm off the clock as I need the other programs open in order to work today. But I will also reidorate that in the past I did that method of uninstalling creative cloud, and reinstalling it to have the same issue present. I also used the cleaner tool, and maybe I just used it improperly but I feel I followed all the instructions to the letter and it also did not resolve my issue.

Though as I mentioned I will try them again and see if it helps resolve the issue and come back to inform if it has worked or not.

To which libraries are you referring? The Creative Cloud libraries? If so, you might need to reset the OOBE folder. Did support already try that?

Did you do a prefs reset?

Also, have you tried disengaging it from it's current position and enlarging the pallette or contracting and then extending the pallette?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
