my line wont snap to the corner of my polygon?

My line wont snap to the corner of my polygon. I'm trying to draw a line using the line segment tool from one corner to the other to cut my polygon in half, when I do that however the line will draw on either side of the corner but not exactly on the corner. I just cant figure it out...
