My placed (png) raster image looses quality when scaling down in Illustrator.

It happens to random images. Some loose quality and some don't. I assume it's either a bug or a setting that I keep accidentally changeing. Any help would be apprecieated since this greatly slows down my work flow and I have to extend deadlines.

My best!

I'm glad you have a solution, but meantime I'm going to move this thread to the Illustrator forum, where others can possibly be of assistance.

Note that the Community Help forum is for help in how to use the Adobe Communities. Product questions should be posted in the associated product community.

I believe I may have found the reason. From my obervation the files that are saved in photoshop through "save as" seem to not have the same quality problems as the files saved by export in photoshop.

OH! Loss of quality also randomly happens when I rotate a placed png image.
