My seamless pattern is showing up as tiles

Hi guys, so im not a pro in Illustrator however i have designed a few patterns to date. The issue im having which for the life of me i cannot seem to fix is when i create a pattern and move it to swatches when i draw it in a shape (rectangular shape) its not seamless but comes up as multiple tiles instead of one seamless pattern. I did not use pattern maker i do it manually. Hope someone can help. TIA
