Need a bulk workaround for a huge resizing project in Illustrator

i have to resize a large number of Illustrator projects, each having 8 artboards with individual PSD images placed to size. There must be a way to resize each artboard with it's PSD file together instead of manually resizing each PSD file on each resized artboard. Any advise would be fantastic!

I believe the latest illustrator beta has the resize artwork and content feature using the artboard tool. You could see if that helps you out. Select the artboard tool, then choose ‘scale art with artboard’ in the properties/control panel.
