Need help with Eraser tool in Illustrator

Hello,

 

I've just started working with illustrator but having problems with the eraser tool.  I have a scanned sketch uploaded but the eraser won't erase some of my image.  Where am I going wrong?  Thank you

You may also try creating a new document and see how Eraser tool is working there. You may also share more information about your workflow. A small video of the process would help us understand your concern better and help you accordingly.

Can you tell us what you are hoping to use Illustrator for here?

If you're just neatening up a scanned image, it's better done in Photoshop.

Illustrator can't directly edit raster images.
