Need to remove this pointer!!

Has anyone seen this before? It's not allowing me to move my object around the artboard...Usually when I select an object I get the usual "rectangle with points" icon... now this pops up and I cant select/unselect the object...can't hit escape. Can only move an object with my arrows.
