Type Poster Critique! Insert Image (.png) of your poster design (Make .png in Illustrator; Menu > File > Save for Web > PNG-24 > 40%)

when i put 40% on image size it turns blurry. what can i do?

Correct answer キィィ─!!!

From your story, we can see that there are the following conditions

  1.  The image file must have been scaled down to 40% of the finished size.
  2. Create only in Illustrator.

Since there is no resolution requirement, why don't you make it a high resolution PNG file?

  1. Once the AI data of the poster is saved.
  2. Create a new document that is reduced in size to 40% of the poster.
  3. Link the poster data and reduce it to 40%.
  4. File > Export > Export As...
  5. Export a high-resolution (300ppi) png file.

Hi, debbiea.
If you make it a bitmap image like a ping, you can't help but get blurry. What's more, the smaller it is, the more blurry it becomes.
Shouldn't it be a PDF if you're submitting it to a professor?
If the professor insists on a bitmap image scaled down to 40%, why don't you submit a blurry ping, a PDF and two?

The other way to do it is to export it in high resolution and resize it to 40% in Photoshop, etc. One way to do this is to resize the image using the Nearest Neighbor method.
It doesn't always work out.

I can't save it on photoshop because it is a poster with a logo and she doesn't want pdf by itself she wants both PDF and PNG and it has be saved as 40%......🤔 🤔

I don't understand. Photoshop can save both PNG and PDF as needed.
