Needing a HEIF extension for an AI file??

Hi so my file is an illustrator file but for some reason this pop up appeared.Screenshot 2026-01-04 212444.png   

I clicked into it and it directed me to this. and then when i opened it up in windows it seems like actually i already have the software they want me to install? so i already have it but i still cant open my file to edit coz once I click OK the whole file closes.
