New 3D inflate effect kills my new MacBook Pro Max

I've just bought a brand new MacBook Pro M2 Max and installed the latest Adobe CC apps including Illustrator. I've just come to try out the new 3D inflate effect on a simple bit of type, hit render and up popped the spinning wheel of deat, the render time was taking so long i had to force quite the app. Surely the M2 Max should power through this almost instantly!?

Is it something up with Illustrator do you think or the new MacBook?

It would depend on the material you use. At quick glance I didn't notice a difference between the low and high quality setting in raytracing. With more detailed materials that might be completely different.

Reboot + preferences reset seems to have worked thanks, rendering in under 20 seconds now!

How large is the text?

How much RAM is installed?

Can you upload the AI file with the text so that one might check it out?

Specs = MacBook Pro M2 Max / 12 CPU cores, 30 GPU cores / 32 GB Memory

I was working on a 1920 x 1080 artboard and text was outlined before i added the effect.

Screenshot attached along with the Ai file.
