New Gradient Feature in AI CC???

Question

I was told by an AI CC junkie that there's apparently another gradient feature (he didn't remebr the name or which tool bar it's in....) that allows you to do a grient, then add points in it at different spots so you can make a more complicated graient easily......easy to do, easy to add colors or positions of gradienting, etc......I've looked in my 22.1 version of CC and cannot find this option. Any one know of what I speak? I'm locked into using this version of CC because I need to keep my OS at El Capitan due to other legacy appls. that I want to continue to use......

Thanks, folks........I suspect, based on previous calls for help, that someone will respond with an answer sooner than expected......
