New Illustrator update (29.7.1 (64-bit)), new problems affecting workflow again... (heavy sigh).
After updating to Illustrator 29.7.1 (64-bit), I have noticed a few bugs that require closing and then restarting the app to regain normal functionality.

First issue: Disappearing color swatches, both fill and stroke. No apparent reason for the problem. I was switching between two documents, both in CMYK color mode, copying elements from one to the other, when the color swatches disappeared. The recent color tiles were still there, a feature that I am starting to like, but the regular tiles were nowhere to be found, and I couldn't select any panels from the swatch library. I had to close and restart the app. Once that was done, everything was back to normal for a couple of hours, but then it happened again.
Second issue: While editing text fields, it has become nearly impossible to select the first letter of a sentence to make any modifications, such as changing size, spacing, or weight. No matter how I position the cursor, it will not highlight the first letter of the sentence if swiping from left to right. If I want to modify the first letter of the sentence, I can only do so by swiping right to left. Unlike the previous issue, restarting the app does not affect this one; it's constant and very annoying... But, on the bright side, I was able to quickly disable the annoying Generative AI button. 🙂
Regards,
Michael
