Hi,total newbie.

Chose a complicated picture as my first ever file to convert from PNG into Vector.  Opened PNG,  image trace, simplified path and then used direct selection to delete loads of unrequired anchors in  my white space.  I attach original and the current editted view I am lookign at.

Question: How do I exit this view, so I can see the correct picture underneath it, which is supposed to like the original  ?

Can you check the layers panel?

Maybe you have put it on separate layers?

Maybe the traced paths are grouped? In that case it would be easy to hide it.

If not you could create a new layer, put the source image on it and then you can easily hide layers to compare the result and the paths.

You're welcome!

There is always at least one layer in any Illustrator file.
