No radius widget when I use the eclipse tool

I'm doing the Design a Logo exercise; part 2 "Use basic shapes to create complex art."  I'm following the video instructions/tutorial. When I'm making the anchovy I'm being instructed to grab the radius widget for the eclipse too (3:38) but there is no radius widget.

My question is how do I enable the radius widget?

    Actually i think i found the answer on another thread. The feature was removed in 2015 so I have to hold down shift + alt instead.
