"Not enough memory" errors on Illustrator CC 2015.3

I'm getting constant "Not enough memory" issues even making small adjustments, usually followed by a crash.

Tried reassigning scratch disk to a larger drive, no change.

Sticking with 2015.2.1 for now.

    Hi All,

We have observed that the reason for this dialog was that Illustrator (2015.3) seems to be conflicting with some clipboard utility applications running on the system.

If you are encountering this issue then please try to quit the clipboard utility & then try to use Illustrator.

Please drop an email to ShareWithAI@adobe.com if this do not resolves the issue.

    We are investigating this issue.

Had the same issue, and it seems that turning off Include SVG Code has fixed the problem.  I'm running Keyboard Maestro and Alfred 3.

+1 to Adobe, please fix the issue.

In case any crazy people who use old software like me stumble across this, I have used an old copy/paste manager called "Ditto" for many years, and never had any trouble until AI CC2015.3. I was just about to quit Adobe because simple copy & paste (or sometimes just copy) would freeze up and crash AI. Removing the Ditto app and changing the above SVG setting fixed it right up. Thanks for everyone's help!

vertigocreative I'm not sure why you removed the Ditto app AND modified the SVG Code setting. You should only have to do one or the other. Personally, I would turn off the SVG code setting, remove the Ditto app and purchase the Paste app.

I still have problem while turning off SVG with Paste app still running. It just force quit when copy/paste something.

Only quitting Paste app solve it.

    +1 Please fix!

It works fine with all clipboard apps (in my case Alfred and Keyboard Maestro) in previous versions of Ai. So this absolute an Ai issue! So turning off clipboard managers is NO option! So please fix this as soon as possible!

edit: best solution right now is reinstall Ai 19.2.1 via CC-desktop (select previous versions) ....

    Hi,

    I've found a workaround:

    - turn off in File Handling & Clipboard: include SVG Code!

After setting these options, Ai 2015.3 works OK.

So there seems an issue with the parsing of the SVG code to the clipboard! An encoding issue? Copying the SVG-code to the clipboard works fine in 19.2.1!

Now I've turned off the clipboard option in Unclutter. It seems like every app has a clipboard functionality, but I think this is my last one.

Even though, Adobe should step up and fix this. I'm waiting for an update.

Adobe support suggested to rename a folder:

Gosia: In go to folder , type ~/library

Gosia: Open the Preferences Folder > Open the Illustrator  19 Settings folder.

    Gosia: Rename en_US to en_USold.

This ended the problem for a short while, but the next day it was back.

Now I'm shutting down Keyboard Maestro and the clipboard features in Alfred, but this doesn't help either.

I'm too busy to contact support again. IMHO this is a serious problem which needs to be fixed really fast. I'm waisting time and losing money restarting Illustrator or shutting down clipboard managers. On the other hand I'm paying quite a lot of money for my CC subscription.

So Adobe: get to work and fix it. Fast.

Almost every clipboard manager I tried resulted in the "Not enough memory" error, including: PTH Pasteboard, copy'em paste, keyboard maestro, paste - as my workflow is based on such a clipboard manager this is a BIG issue for me and I will have to go back to the last version of AI. Any idea when this will fixed?

The Paste – smart clipboard history manager for Mac is working perfectly well with Illustrator.

Yup, getting rid of PasteBot seems to have solved the "Not enough memory" errors for me. Whew.

That worked! I run Irradiated iClip and as soon as I quit it that seemed to solve the problem.
