Not enough memory to open Illustration

Hello,

I am new here. Glad to join the community!

There's an Adobe Illustrator file that I've been working on for a mont, most of which was written on Dell laptop on Windows 8.However, after the Windows 10 update, I suddenly can't open it anymore. It gives the following message: 'There is not enough memory to open Illustration.' Any thoughts why?

    I can suggest you to open the file with the help of:

    Inkscape

    GIMP

    ai open file tool

    CorelDraw

      What version of Illustrator are you using? If it is version CS6 or earlier then it is not supported on Windows 10 which most likely is the source of your problem.

      how much memory do you have? do you have other programs running?
