Not exporting SVGs as multiple resources

This is a nightmare. I swear I will upgrade to a pirated version if no one helps me finally. I can't export a SVG as multiple resources.

I can't save each object in a separate file as a separate SVG because it takes a long time. nothing helps in the long run. I've rolled back versions to where everything worked. I've talked to support three times, I've renamed certain folders with “.old”. I've run my computer in safe mode. I've tried not even updating Illustrator as long as the batch SVG export functionality is still available. But after a while this function stops working, even if I have not updated anything!

I don't know how to make my situation any clearer.

It works as expected for me. What version of Illustrator are you using?

I didn't doubt it. Luckily, after today's update, it's working.

I'm on Illustrator v 29.8.1

I'm getting these screens when trying to export SVG files, have done this for over a decade and, all of the sudden nothing is working for the SVG file format, will not save out no matter what I've tried.

I select a group of objects, and then using context menu - collect for export - as multuple asset. or using file - export selection - assets. or by dragging all the selected items directly into the window on the taskbar asset export. Other formats PNG, JPG are exported by these methods without problems. but I need svg.
