not getting 100% k value in CMYK

i am getting C=60 M=90 Y=0 K=0. I WANT TO MAKE A DEFAULT SETTING FOR K=100  FOR PRINTING WERE TO SET THIS AND MAKE IT TO DEFAULT     THANK YOU

CMYK : U.S.Web Coated (swop) v2 and the colour management in CMYK Is preserve numbers

That seems normal.

Did you try to reset your preferences?

I just had this same exact problem. No matter what I did when I typed in 100%K the values would change to different C, M, Y, and K values. I accidently had my file set up in RGB so I switched it over to CMYK (File<Document Color Mode < CMYK). Once when the file was in CMYK, I still could not get my black to go to 100%K everything would change to odd C, M, Y, and K values like I was experiencing before. Just so everyone is aware I was not using any spot colors etc.

The solution I fould was to create a whole new blank file and make sure it is set up in CMYK mode, then copy paste everything from your old file into the new file. Hope this helps!
