Object-->Blend -->Make

Usually Object-->Blend -->Make's one new image in between two already exisiting images but in my case it makes many. What is the reason?

Select objects and Go To Object menu -> Blend-> Blend Option

Double click the ~~Smooth~~ Blend Tool in the Tools panel, it is probably set to Smooth Color.

You can set this option before using the Blend tool.
