Object dimension without outline

Please, I need to know how to control the dimension of an object without Illustrator embedding the outline size in the object size. When editing dielines, Illustrator considers the outline as an object, interfering with the real dimension of the object. Can I disable this option?

Felipe,

Untick Use Preview Bounds in the General Preferences.

Unless the dieline is to include a stroke that is centre (or outside) aligned, the dieline must follow the outer bounds, in which case you need to Use Preview Bounds.
