Object > Path > Compound path > Release and Ungroup not able to find.

Looking for the option calles Compund Path under the Parth menu.  May I ask please why there is absence of the option?

Those are the two opposite functions.

With two or more objects selected you can create, Make a Compound Path. The Release command is greyed or inactive. 

And when you select a Compound Path the command available is Release where each object and its path is separated and does not interact with any other.

It's there in your screenshot. 4th from bottom, not under 'Path'.

    Hello Doug_A_Roberts, thank you for your answer. May I ask please why both the functions (Release) and (Make) are seperate?
