Question

Objects change colour when I open the file.

For some time now, when I open Illustrator, certain objects change colour.

The peculiar thing is that this only happens with two specific colours that I use for a client, and the “conversion” is always from blue to yellow, never the other way around.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Hi @Stefano38428046updo,

Could you please check if your document color mode and color settings remain consistent between sessions? You can also try temporarily disabling color management policies by going to the Color Settings window and setting both RGB and CMYK to 'Off', then reopen the file to see if that helps. Additionally, please confirm if this happens with one specific file or across multiple ones, and share a screenshot showing the color difference for better understanding. Once I have that information, I can check it further.

Looking forward to your update.

Hi @Abhishek Rao

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I have checked and the colour mode remains consistent. I am attaching some screenshots of how the object in question appears. Blue is the correct colour, but when I reopen it, it is yellow, but not just any yellow, the yellow I use for this client and which is part of the coordinated image.

I am discussing this with other colleagues and it seems that they are also experiencing similar problems.

However, it would appear that the problem is limited to a single file and always to the same element, as if it somehow recognises it, because even if the element is deleted and an identical one is inserted from another file, the problem still occurs.

Hello @Stefano38428046updo,

Thanks for confirming. If the problem persists with specific files, it could be possible that the file is corrupt. In such cases, I would recommended to recreate the object.

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
