Objects move after save - Illustrator 26

Elements are moving, somethimes completely off the pasteboard after save. All looks good on save, then reopen to find elements have moved.

Requires multiple saves to keep them where they should be and very frustrating as it means erroneous files have been sent to print.

If there is a fix great, this is more of a complaint to Adobe!
