Obnoxious flickering cursor issue

See video attached.

My cursor wants to flicker any time I'm attempting to use scale and/or rotate. Using a $5,000 Mac so I don't think its CPU or hardware, definitely a software glitch. Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hi @TommyOwenDesign,

Thanks so much for sharing the video. I completely understand how frustrating that flickering cursor can be, especially when you’re working on precise scaling or rotation tasks. Could you please confirm which version of Illustrator and macOS you're currently using? Also, does this happen in all files or just certain ones?

In the meantime, please check if GPU Performance is enabled by going to Illustrator > Preferences > Performance. Try turning it off to see if that helps with the flickering. I'd also recommend testing the issue in safe mode to rule out any conflicts with third-party software or services. Reference:

If the problem persists, please try renaming the CEP folder to CEP.old from the following location:
Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe

If that doesn't help, you can also try renaming the UXP folder to UXP.old from these locations:
Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe and ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe

If the issue still continues, please let me know.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!
