Odd paths appearing at the end of acute corners

I am getting "ghost" paths appearing at the end of lines even when there isn't a stroke at all.

It seems to only occur for pointed acute corners.

I have tried adding a stroke and then changing the corners, but the rogue path is still there.

Any ideas?

This is a common bug with GPU Preview. Turn it off (View > Preview on CPU) to check.
