offset patch in action

hey community

i am trying to make an action in illustrator, i want to copy a shape, offset path -1 pt, expand appearance ( since after offset, the frame stays the same!), change the stroke and then deselect.

but it doesn't record offset and expand appearance!

anybody knows why!
