Question

Only tablet versions available for Illustrator

I have bought a new laptop, being the Microsoft Surface Laptop, 7th edition. (so not the tablet version but a full laptop) Within Adobe CC I am able to install the desktop versions of Photoshop and Acrobat apps. But for illustrator it only shows the tablet version. See screenshot.

Any suggestions?

Hi @an_alleweireldt6107,

Thanks for raising this. We know that having only Illustrator (beta) available for Copilot+ PCs running Snapdragon X Series ARM-based processors creates real workflow challenges, and I hear you.

The product team is actively working on compatibility and features for ARM-based systems, and you can expect further improvements in future releases.

You can also learn which Adobe apps run on Copilot+ PCs that use Snapdragon X Series ARM architecture-based processors: (https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/system-requirements/apps-compatibility-copilot.html).

Feel free to reach out if anything else comes up.

On Surface Laptop 7 with ARM processor, Adobe only offers the tablet version of Illustrator because the full desktop version is not yet compatible. Photoshop and Acrobat work fine, but for Illustrator you have to wait for an official Adobe update. For now, only the web or tablet versions are available.

Hello @solenevasseur,

Illustrator (Beta) is available to use on Microsoft Copilot+ PCs. Please head to the Beta tab in the Creative Cloud Desktop app to install the latest release and let us know how it goes.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

That's the only version available for machines with ARM processors (like the Snapdragon X Plus).
