Opacity screen is not transparent

Hello, I'm trying to get this effect by using opacity screen:

but I got this instead:

How to use opacity screen correctly or how should I change my settings to make my 'comet' more transparent, like in the first picture?

Set the outmost color stop in that gradient to 0% opacity and it should blend nicely into the background.
