Opening CC brushes in CS6

I created a brush in CC2015. A vendor has CS6 and when he opens the file the brush converts to outline. I saved the CC Brush Library and then tried to open on CS6 and the Library opened but it was empty with no brushes in it.

Is there a way to Save or Export a Brush Library from CC to CS6 or does the Brush need to be rebuilt in CS6?

What kind of brush is it?

An art brush? A pattern brush?

In case it's an art brush: downsave the file to CS6 and your client should be able to open it.

In case it's a pattern brush, make sure the corners are not set to automatic. Then you should be able to downsave the file as well.

What else is in the file? Any other new feature used?

About what type of brushes are you talking?

Expanding brushes while downsaving is often inevitable, but perhaps there is a workaround.

Can you share the original library that you created in CC 2015?

Its a custom Brush. I made the artwork, selected it, dragged it into the Brushes palette and then drew a path and then selected the brush in the Brushes palette to paint the path. I have a feeling you are right and expanding is inevitable and will have to be re-created in CS6.

Unfortunately I cannot share the brush art. I am under contract and the brush is proprietary artwork.

Thanks for your time
