Opt + arrow no longer adjusts tracking and leading

On MacOS I've been used to `opt` + `arrow` for increasing / decreasing tracking and leading. But it seems to have disappeared with the same update that killed the `cmd` + `k` for keyboard increment. I've updated to 29.8, that brought back the latter, but the other has gone.

To check if it were any other app, I've booted and run Illustrator as the only app or plugin, and it still doesn't work. I'm on MacOS 15.6.1 (24G90).

Any suggestions?

I guess it migrated the corrupted preferences from 29.7

You may want to reset your Preferences.

The settings for Type in Preferences could become low values in a previous version.

The update to 29.8 has this fixed.

I don't understand what that means. I have updated to 29.8 and it hasn't been fixed. Is this a setting somewhere? I can only find a keyboard shortcut for kerning, and that doesn't allow opt.
