Pantone Connect Extension Error

I've recently installed the Pantone Connect plugin via Creative Cloud and bought a Pantone Connect Premium license. But when I open it in Illustrator i'm getting an error pop up that says 'Exception:IOError: File or folder not found'. I've attached a screenshot. After I click 'OK' the plugin loads but just simply does not work. When I click on the Pantone colors nothing happens in illustrator.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin as well as the whole Illustrator program to no avail. Indesign has the same problem as well for me. All my apps are updated. Does anyone have any solution to this?
