Pantone Solid Coated is not working

Colours are showing as Pantone solid coated but Pantone solid coated number are showing wrong number only for diffrent colours in Adobe Illustrator 27.8.1 (64 bit)

Please help how to fix it ?

Did you set up these colors?

Or did someone send them to you?

Anybody can create a spot color swatch and name it any way they like and set up the color any way they want.

I am working on old file (2018) this file has Pantone error such as : The Pantone Number and
Display Color are not matching with each other. Please ref. image as below.

Note : Pantone Solid Coated is not showing in Adobe Illustrator 27.8.1 (64 bit)

Rename it to .pdf then you can upload it in this forum.

You can have multiple versions of Illustrator installed.

There is still one version that you can download that has the libraries.

Install an older version of Illustrator: 2023 (27.0), this is the last version that has the old Pantone Color books.

In the Creative Cloud app select Apps > All Apps > Illustrator > click the 3 dots … next to the Open button > click Other Versions and select 27.0

Go the Illustrator 2023 Application folder > Presets > (your language folder) > Swatches > Color Books > and make a copy of PANTONE+ Solid Coated.acb and PANTONE+ Solid Uncoated.acb

Keep them in a safe place and copy them to the same location in the Illustrator 2024 application folder.

If you have a Photoshop license, you can install Photoshop 22.2.

Then, open Photoshop 2021 Application folder > Presets > Color Books and you will find the PANTONE color books, so copy it to Illustrator's Color Books folder.

And if possible, share an example file? Change the .ai extension to .pdf before adding the file to this forum.

Can you give some more details about when it changes color? Same document, new documents?
