Paragraph and character styles crash program

I'm having the same issue. I reset my preferences multiple times. Unistalled and reinstalled AI. Went back a version or two and still it happens. Deleted and uninstalled a bunch of fonts. I crested a new test document while I was trying to figure out what the problem was and every time I created a paragraph style and tried to save, it would crash. Older documents that have paragrpagh styles in them won't open either. Immedtate crash. I'm using Windows 11 Home on a company network. 6GB graphics card, 32GB RAM, 12 Gen Intel Core i9-12900H processor.

Same here for me. Not graphic or style rich document - in fact problem appearing in simple design.
For every time i try to edit paragraph styles Illustrator crashes or freeze for a while. 

I'm starting to be more frustrated as from each update there are dozen of "Fantastic" AI feautures but all the other important tools are more buggy in comparation of older versions. 

As a graphic designer i need workflow without interuptions and crashes on basic functions...

Thanks for reporting this. I can see how frustrating it must be to deal with crashes every time you access paragraph or character styles.

Could you please confirm the OS and Illustrator version you're currently using? Also, let us know if this happens with all files or just specific ones. Are you able to create a new document, and does the crash still occur when opening the Paragraph or Character Styles panel there?

Lastly, try testing Illustrator in Safe Mode. This disables third-party plugins or processes and can help isolate the cause.

I. cannot reproduce that. Which system and version is it and what is your default font resp. which font is active when you open the dialog box. Do you use font management?
