Question

Parts of my logo won't move to the front

Hello,

I'm trying to edit a logo and can't seem to figure out why part of it won't move to the front of the layer? Everything that is the logo is grouped and on the same layer. Nothing is locked, I haven't seen this before. Tried separating all objects, redoing them, etc Any help would be great!

Graham,

You may be happier, and it may be easier, to move the blue rectangle to the back.

Just select it, then Ctrl/Cmd+X+B (hold Ctrl/Cmd and press X then B); you can press X then B again if needed.

Yup, tried it.  Thanks though. It's not on a different layer, there is no blending mode activated, etc

Blending modes can not only be applied to the object, but also to its fill or stroke. Please check if that is the case. It would really help if you could show us the things we ask for. Otherwise this will take us ages to figure out.

Here is a video about the appearance panel:

Have you tried selecting the errant type with the direct selection tool (white arrow) and going through Object>Arrange>Bring to Front?

Yes i have, its not on a different layer, it's not within a different blending mode or anything either.

Thanks for reaching out. I hope the suggestions shared by Monika helped resolve the problem. If not, kindly share some more details, like a screenshot of the layers panel, or share a link to the file here or via DM so we can investigate further.

Looking forward to your response.

Please show how this looks in the Layers panel.

You could also check in the Attributes panel if the white object is set to Overprint.
