The path for my objects have become offset. This happens to old and new files. I've tried all of the GPU troubleshooting solutions with no success. Please help!

This issue has been going on for months.

There are some threads about it, e.g. this, which also has a solution that worked for at least one person:

Bounding box in illustrator is displaced on external screen

You could also try and find the other threads, e.g. by "bounding box" and "offset"

There are a few reasons this can occur,  therefore I  need to ask some questions:

  • How often does this happen?
  • What exactly does the appearance panel say you have selected, path, shape, group?
  • What OS & Illustrator version and do you have more than one monitor?
  • Does this go away if you quit illustrator and reopen the same file?
  • Does Object >> Transform >> Reset bounding Box help?

Awesome! I changed my main display from my surface to one of my large monitors, and it worked. Thank you

Also, I could not for the life of me figure out what to call that type of path. It made finding a solution online nearly impossible. Now I know, bounding box. Thanks again!

You're welcome!

Glad we could solve that issue this time.

I did do this. It did not work unfortunately.
