Pathfinder only gives me shape mode options. no actual pathfinder options.

Why is it stuck like this, it's completely frustrating. this is in the essentials classic workspace. and I've already reset it.

This also looks huge. Did you perhaps scale your interface in the system settings?

The workspace is just the arrangement of the panels. Have you reset your preferences? (You can do so under the preferences now.)
