How to use Pathfinder in effects menu ? and what is the different between pathfinder in effects menu and Pathfinder panal ?

Pathfinder effects will apply the appearance of the pathfinder function at the group or layer level.

 

The pathfinder panel will (destructively) apply those functions to whatever shapes you have selected, or (non-destructively) create a compound shape from them.
