paths disappear when using ray-tracing

Some paths or shapes are disappearing when I use ray tracing tool.

Everything goes well if I just use some general 3D features like inflate, material, etc. However, some of the paths or shapes in my artwork just disappear when I apply ray-tracing and I still can't find out the solution for the problem.

Anyone experienced similar issue?

In the future if there is a need to compare screenshots, please embed them in your post.

Can you please point to the things that don't work? Is i about the checkered pattern? Please tell us how they are made.
