hello,

when i make a patternbrush of my cirkle (filled with blue, no stroke)

Illustrator distort my perfect circle when i put the brush on a new circle as a kind of stroke. The perfect circle is nog an egg.

I made my preferences of my brush ok ('not scaling' 'following path')

kind regards

If you're after  a simple dotted line use the "Dash" option on a simple line. Click the far-right icon right of "Dashed Line" to keep the distance equal.

The pattern brush will always distort unless you make the circle in a very specific way: Draw a linie. Move both endpoints exactly on top of each other. Apply a stroke with round end caps. Set the stroke width to your needs. Drag the thing into the brushes panel. This point will not distort.

Hi, Monika. I'm finding that no pattern brush is produced when the two points occupy the same location. If I offset one point by .000001 pt it works fine. I haven't tried a smaller value, as that seems, as you might say, pointless.

I have created one just before writing that post and could do it in CC2019. But you're correct: the support for this kind of pattern brush was unstable during versions.
