Patterns in shapes put big white blocks while viewing

Hello! After a illustrator update about a month ago, Ive had the issue of patterns that I use showing up like this in illustrator. When i export it to images, and preview the file itself, it doesnt show like this. Is there a setting thats possibly turned on thats making my patterns look like this? This was previously not an issue before.

If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing the screenshots. Would you mind confirming the version of Illustrator and the details of the OS? Since you mentioned the exported images look fine, the file itself isn't corrupted. You can try switching the Preview mode from GPU to CPU (View > View Using CPU) to see if the blocks disappear. 

Please give that a try and let me know if the white blocks are still showing when working in the file. If possible, share a sample file via any public cloud service like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. If confidential, please share it via DM on the community.

Yes! Changing to view using GPU helped! It changes the colors im viewing slightly and how the patterns show, Im not sure if it impacts my workflow. Ive currently updated to the most recent illustrator update. Thank you!
