PDF modification detected- illustrator losing the changes and doesnt save open PDFS correctly

hello. I have had this problem for a month now, have been super irritating. I have read the forum about it and most people are just irritated about it and move on, for me illustrator doesnt save any changes if i continue to the editability, and if i keep changes, cant edit enything or see things from outside the board. 

I am not modyfying the files anyhow, last time i opened the file was also illustrator. HELP, i keep losing my changes while working on pdfs.

Where do you save your files? Locally, server, synced folder?

Do you save them as .ai?

Is Illustrator editing capabilities checked in the Save options?

Hello, I save my files on my drive locally. And i used to save them as an editable pdf, this is the files that dont save. 

When i save as .ai it wll works.

yes, the editing capabilities are checked when i am saving and it even works, but without changes I made to the file, so the editable layers are old.

Are other people or apps interacting with the pdf's? Dropbox? Do you have a special reason to save them as PDF while you are still working on them?
