PDFs exported from the Asset Export Panel not retaining the original units or raster effect settings

The units in my original Illustrator file are always set to be inches but all files exported from the Asset Export panel are in px and I cannot find where to change this.

Additionally and more importantly, I often use raster effects like drop shadow or outer glow in my work. In the original Illustrator file I have the document raster effect set to a resolution of 300 ppi, ensuring a high quality print, yet once again the exported PDF asset does not retain this setting and defaults to 72 ppi.

If it is not already a feature, I think it would make sense for exported Illustrator PDF assets to retain the settings of their parent files.

Create a custom PDF Preset using Edit > Adobe PDF Presets...  and set the downsampling to what you like.

Use that preset by clicking the cog icon to set the settings for PDF in the Export For Screens dialog.
